about

02-04-2021

'Dreams, On Air' is the instrumental soundtrack album to 'The Dream Frequencies', a podcast mini-series I created for the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.

In February 2021, I invited a number of writers and storytellers to speak to me about their history of dreaming. I asked them to share with me their experiences of recurring dreams. In particular, I was curious to learn if the nature of their dreaming had changed over the course of 2020/21. If the influence of the pandemic - and its attendant lockdowns and isolation - had made its presence felt in the content of their dreams.

The subsequent podcast series is comprised of excerpts from these interviews. Together, they provide an opportunity for the listener to tune in to the dreams of the interviewees, and to share in a journey that begins in the final moments before sleep, continues through deep sleep and dreaming, and culminates in the first moments of waking the following morning.

You can find all three episodes, plus a brief introduction here: www.traverse.co.uk/whats-on/the-dream-frequencies

If you like what you hear, please do spread the word.

Thank you for listening.

P.s. Although there may be gaps between the tracks when streaming on this page, the downloaded album should play through seamlessly, with no noticeable pauses.
